Foreign-source self-employment or sole trader income derived from an eligible occupation, royalties, capital gains, and investment or rental income will be exempt from Portuguese tax as long as they are already taxed in the source country either under a double taxation agreement or under the OECD model tax convention. In addition, such income must not be deemed Portugal-sourced under applicable Portuguese law and must not be sourced from a blacklisted tax haven.

How would dividends tax and the NHR dividends be in dividends and US dividends and NHR would be tax-free? So you can receive them tax-free in Portugal. So yeah, that, that is where the controversy that we mentioned earlier where people were if you could have capital gains, like from an ETF of shares or whatever, cause you sell it and you use a structure, for example, the Walter Cypress, in order to receive it into Portugal as dividends. But obviously, you know, this is spirit and letter of the law, you know, it's, it's, you know, it's, it's up to me. It's obvious that that is not the right thing to do, but hey, people do it. So, generally speaking, dividends are task free under the NHR once they're genuine dividends and not anything that has been recategorized as dividends. Okay.
