1,5 su bardağı toz şeker (kabağın cinsine göre değişir, tatsız ise daha fazla şeker eklenebilir)
1 su bardağı dövülmüş ceviz
Hazırlanışı;
1.Kabağı ince ince dilimledikten sonra soyup çekirdeklerini çıkart.
2.Yıkadıktan sonra 2-3 parmak genişliğinde dilediğin uzunlukta doğra.
3.Büyük ve yayvan bir tencereye kabakları, aralarına şeker serperek kat kat diz.
4.2-3 saat ya da bir gece ağzı kapalı olarak beklet.
5.Bu bekleme sırasında kabak su salacağı için pişirirken ayrıca su koymaya gerek yok.
6.Geceden bekletilen kabak orta ateşte yumuşayana kadar pişirilir.
7.Kabağın şerbetinin koyulaşması için bir sürede kapağı açık olarak pişirin.
8.Soğuduktan sonra servis tabağına alınarak üzerine dövülmüş ceviz serpilerek servis edilir.
Aynı şekilde fırında pişirerek de çok hoş bir tat elde edebilirsiniz.
