I am going to show you a very easy and efficient way of composting from kitchen scraps directly in your garden. For this you do not need to buy any specialty #composters or any expensive containers.
On average, families throw away 500-600 kilograms of kitchen #waste every year. This is simple way to turn waste into profit. For composting you can use Compost directly in your garden everything besides meat, milk and oil products. It is best to use vegetables, fruits, grains, seeds, tea bags, coffee and garden waste like grass or leaves. Coffee leftovers can be good fertilizers even without composting since you can put it around your plants. Coffee is a natural pesticide and can help banish harmful bugs away from your garden. Coffee grounds, after being used to make coffee, become almost neutral with a Ph level around 6. Coffee grounds have a carbon to nitrogen ratio of 20:1, which is good for composting. Since coffee grounds are very rich in nitrogen, they will heat up the composting pile and stay heated for approximately 2 weeks which will help other scraps to decompose faster.
Dig a 30 cm deep hole near bushes or trees. Fill the hole with kitchen scraps and put a layer of soil on top of it. Composting is aerobic process and requires a significant quantity of air, this is why the hole should be shallow.
Besides air it needs carbon and nitrogen for the bacteria and fungi to start composting. Carbon and nitrogen, in different amounts, is present in all kitchen waste as well as water. Vegetables and fruits are rich in nitrogen. But fallen leaves, garden waste, wood, branches, tea bags, coffee filters, corn and sunflowers seeds are good source of carbon. The perfect carbon to nitrogen ratio for composting is 25:1. Rain or artificial watering is required to speed up the process. Direct contact with surrounding soil provides all the necessary microorganisms and most importantly, earthworms. Earthworms, by eating organic waste, produce humus or warm manure.
Phytotoxins which accumulate in the soil during degradation allows the fresh compost to act as a pesticide, killing unwanted bugs and scaring others away. By using fresh compost you can reduce weeds and pathogens.
We are using our homemade fertilizer for everything including raspberries, gooseberry, black currant, white currant and blooming plants such as hydrangea, clematis, succulents and other flowers. https://youtu.be/2OUx44cFSGkAbout the Site π
This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. π₯
Origins of the Idea π±
The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. π§
Challenges Faced π€
Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.
Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. π
Creating Truly Random Links π οΈ
The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.
About YouTube πΊ
YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. π
Content and Users π΅
Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.
While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.
Monetization and Impact π€
YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.
As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. π
