7 steps to setting important goals:
In this video I am going through 7 steps I go through every time I need a reset in my life or I need to figure out what is important in my life. Any time I am stuck or confused about what I should be working on and what my next step is, going through goal discovery process is extremely helpful!
Here are the steps:
Step 1: Get a notebook, pen and your favorite beverage
Step 2: write down you ‘Big Picture’ goal. What do you want your life to be when you are 70-80-90 years old.
Step 3: List your areas of responsibilities / areas of life:
You/me/self – what kind of person you want to be
Significant other – spouse, girlfriend, boyfriend
Kids
Family – parents. Siblings and anyone you belong to as your family unit
Relationship – your friends, co-workers, your social network
Work – an activity you do to make money
Finance – budgeting, saving , investing
Recreation – time for fun and enjoyment
Spiritual growth
Home – taking care of a place where you live
Step 4: Evaluate each area of life and tell how you currently doing in that area of life now
Step 5: write down what you want/need to work on this year
Step 6: write a good why for each area of life
Step 7: coin/summarize your goal for this year
Good job! You are done!
