Каймановая черепаха всеядна и агрессивна. Если рыбача на Живую наживку вы ее поймали то действовать нужно терпеливо и осторожно иначе можно остаться без пальцев. Схватив добычу черепаха уже ее не отпустит таким образом она охотится хватая из за засады водоплавающих птиц и грызунов тащит их на дно и притопив заглатывает их. Она ест всё отрастителтности до падали. Этим объясняется ее эволюционная выживаемость. Она настолько сильная как бульдозер, что я даже не могу вытащить ее на бере. Рот у черепахи снабжён крепкими острыми челюстями сила укуса которых почти равна силе укуса человека не взирая на разницу в размерах. Лапы черепахи снабженны острыми, длинными когтями, которыми она может серьезно поранить человека, если человек не умеет с ней обращаться. она может серьезно повредить ваш палец если схватит за него.
