The GooglePlay store is great because it offers quite a bit of flexibility in terms of how you want to release your app, and how frequently you want to release your app. In the video I present a case study of my own experience releasing my app on Android and the GooglePlay store. Because I was innovating, I had to iterate and release many versions rapidly after monitoring how my users were using the app. This allowed me to make rapid improvements to my app, and to eventually have the app be one of the top business apps on Android. Once I found features that my users liked, I then slowly released them on my iPhone and iPad apps.
Despite my personal preference of releasing your app on Android and GooglePlay, releasing the iOS app as an iPhone or iPad on the Apple App Store has its own unique benefits. The Apple platform is still considered the coolest and the most hip platform. It certainly has pizzazz which attracts early app adopters and journalists.
